JONESBORO, Ill. -- Deanna Schott, 35, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at Union County Hospital.
She was born Nov. 30, 1968, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Leonard "Buzz" and Phyllis Campbell Bixby. She and David G. Schott were married Sept. 9, 1995, at Wolf Lake, Ill.
Deanna graduated from Red Bud High School and attended St. Louis Community College Meramec. She was a teacher's assistant at Jonesboro Elementary School. She served as a Girl Scout leader for Troop 129, was treasurer for Jonesboro Junior High Boosters and Union County Soccer League, a past PTO president at Jonesboro Elementary School, and was active in the ballfield fund raiser for the school. She was also a member of the A-J Huddle Club at A-J Community High School.

Survivors include her husband David; children, Justin, Jordan and Samantha Schott; her mother, Phyllis Bixby of Baldwin, Ill.; three sisters, Angela and husband Delbert Knupp and their children, David and Nolan of Jonesboro, Lisa Figura and children, Amber and Trisha of Nashville, Ill.; Laura Cozean and children, Caleb and Myranda of Red Bud, Ill.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William R. and Frankie Schott of Cape Girardeau; sister-in-law, Laurie Schott Webster and children, Chelsi and Shawna of St. Louis; maternal grandmother, Verna Campbell of Chester, Ill.; maternal great-grandmother, Iva Morgan of Chester; paternal grandmother, Violet Derossett of Wolf Lake; aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; a nephew, Jordan Figura; and grandfather, Grampy Bixby.
Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 4 to 8 p.m. today and Thursday until time of service.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. David Eidson and John Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Jonesboro Elementary School or American Cancer Society.
