Deanna Lee Estes, 82, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023.
She was born Jan. 27, 1941, in Willow Springs, Missouri, to Wade and Bertha Belshe, the youngest of three children.
Deanna was an excellent golfer, a multiple-time club champion, and was happiest when on the golf course. When she wasn't playing, she could often be found teaching junior golf or actively participating in the Ladies Golf Association at Dalhousie Golf Club.
Prior to her retirement, she served a long career as an investigator for the Missouri Department of Revenue's Criminal Investigation Bureau. She was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was actively involved with Bible Study Fellowship for many years.
Deanna was the loving mother of Jamie (Sidney) Estes; Grandma Dee Dee to granddaughter, Chandler Estes; beloved sister of Dean Belshe and the late Bonnie Hennessy; and dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bonnie Hennessy; and cherished dog, Lollie.
A celebration of life memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Carl Palmer officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in Willow Springs.
