Dean Stickel

Dean Stickel, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at his home.

He was born July 12, 1942, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Edward and Laura Robinson Stickel. He and Betty Noel were married May 27, 1963, at Cape Girardeau.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting guns. He loved his grandchildren. He also built his own house.

Dean worked at Sears as an auto mechanic for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Stickel of Cape Girardeau; sons, Clint (Valerie) Stickel of Oran, Missouri, and Dale Stickel of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Jennifer Voorhes of Jackson; sister, Menla Russell of Greer, South Carolina; brother, Charles "Skip" Reams of Manchester, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doug McClellan officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
