MILLERSVILLE -- Glen Dayton Stroder, 68, of Millersville died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 13, 1929, at Burfordville, son of Linus and Ida Mae Ervin Stroder. He and Maggie Cathcart were married Sept. 24, 1955.
Stroder had worked at International Shoe Co., LaPierre-Saywer Handle Co., and Lee-Rowan Co., all in Jackson, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Haynes Chapel Congregational Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Beverly Niswonger of Millersville; two sisters, Dorothy and Ruby Stroder of Millersville; a half sister, Mealy Bazzell of Jackson; two grandchildren; and a stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Sander officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
