DAVID RAY

David H. Ray, 34, Highway V, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born March 13, 1962, at Hayti, son of the Rev. Charles H. and Betty Rayburn Ray. He and Lisa McCain were married Jan. 28, 1995. Ray worked 10 years on a towboat, and was a mate in charge of deckhands when he retired because of an injury. David H. Ray, 34, Highway V, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born March 13, 1962, at Hayti, son of the Rev. Charles H. and Betty Rayburn Ray. He and Lisa McCain were married Jan. 28, 1995.

Ray worked 10 years on a towboat, and was a mate in charge of deckhands when he retired because of an injury. He served two years in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jessica and Jamie McCain of Cape Girardeau; his parents of Wilmerding, Pa.; two sisters, Nancy Ray of Caruthersville, and Carol Erickson of Jacksonville, Fla.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eddie Dotson officiating. Burial will be in McLain Chapel Cemetery, with graveside rites by an honor guard from VFW Post 3838.
