BENTON, Mo. -- David E. Pobst, 49, of Benton died Monday, June 14, 2004, at his home.
He was born Oct. 6, 1954, in Sikeston, Mo., son of Eugene H. and Judy Ann Heath Pobst. He and Diane Lumley were married March 31, 1994, in Wickliffe, Ky.
Pobst worked for Diebold Orchards and received his Master Gardener certificate. He farmed and was a van driver for Heartland Care Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Eric Pobst of Paducah, Ky.; a stepson, Adam Lumley of Sikeston; a stepdaughter, Sarah Lumley of Benton; his mother of Oran, Mo.; two sisters, Cindy Dempster of McGee, Mo., and Teresa Cook of Oran.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Monsignor Stephen Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
