The funeral for R. David Perdue of Acworth, Ga., was held Friday at First United Methodist Church in Marietta, Ga. The Rev. Sam Storey Sr. officiated. Burial was in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery at Marietta.

Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta was in charge of arrangements.

Perdue, 46, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002.

He was born in Ashland, Ky., son of Roy and Bonnie Adkins Perdue. He married Susan Manester.

Perdue was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He was employed with Ford Motor Co., and since 1979 was area manager North American Fleet, lease and remarketing operations.

He was a member of Optimist Club and Lutheran Ministries in Christ in Coral Springs, Fla. He moved to Cobb County in March from Parkland, Fla.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Abby Perdue of Acworth; his mother of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, John Perdue of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a sister, Deborah Greening of Marietta.

He was preceded in death by his father.
