Memorial service for David Lee McKinney of Brawley, Calif., was held June 30 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley. Members of a Masonic Lodge officiated. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery at Brawley.
McKinney, 70, died Monday, June 26, 2000, at his home.
He was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Mound City, Ill. He grew up and attended schools in Cape Girardeau.
He and Eunice Richardson were married Dec. 11, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nev. She died March 7, 1994.
McKinney made his career with the U.S. Air Force, retiring in the late 1950s. He moved to the Brawley area and worked in the produce business many years. He was a member of American Legion Post 60 and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Turner of Franklin, Tenn., Diane Brooks of Greenwood, Ind.; a brother, Larry McKinney of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Barbara Neader of Cape Girardeau; and several grandchildren.
