BROWNWOOD -- David Richard Mathis, 38, of Brownwood, died Dec. 25, 1994, near Murphysboro, Ill. He was born Aug. 4, 1956, in Michigan, the son of Virgie and Edith Robison Mathis Sr. He was a farmer. BROWNWOOD -- David Richard Mathis, 38, of Brownwood, died Dec. 25, 1994, near Murphysboro, Ill.

He was born Aug. 4, 1956, in Michigan, the son of Virgie and Edith Robison Mathis Sr. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his parents; one brother, Virgie Mathis Jr. of DuQuoin, Ill.; and two sisters, Pamela Owens of Elkville, Ill., and Vickie Navarro of Milwaukee, Wis.

Friends may call Wednesday at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance from 8:30 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Keith Price will officiate. Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park.
