David Ivester

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- David Andrew Ivester, son of the late Helen Virginia Livingston Worley, was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Woodland Hills a StoneBridge Senior Living Center in Marble Hill, Missouri, at the age of 74 years.

David was a veteran of the Army. He proudly served as a police office for 20 years and loved hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Kennedy of Chaffee; two sons, Paul Ivester and David Ivester II, both of Chaffee; three brothers, Nova Worley of Morley, Missouri; Steve Worley of Delta; and Kevin Worley of Morley; five grandchildren, Michael Kennedy, Jesse Kennedy, David Ivester III, Brandon Ivester and Ethan Ivester; and seven great-grandchildren.

Apart from his mother, David was preceded in death by a brother, Richie Ivester, and two sisters, Vicki Worley and Gail Worley.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at noon in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
