BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- David Leon Howard, 60, of Bloomfield passed away Jan. 20, 2006, at his home.
He was born Dec. 5, 1946, at Bell City, son of Ottis and Helen Rampley Howard. He and Arvetta Hoosier were united in marriage Dec. 20, 1969, at Bell City and she survives of the home.
Howard retired from General Motors Corvette Department at Bowling Green, Ky. He was a member of the Advance Eagles and a retired member of UAW. He served three years in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Arvetta Howard of Bloomfield; his mother, Helen Winfrey of Bell City; a son, Scott Howard of Pensacola, Fla., a daughter, Stephanie Howard of Bonne Terre, Mo.; two brothers, Tom Winfrey of Bell City, Allen Howard of Lilburn, Mo.; five sisters, Diane Cawvey of Hillsboro, Mo., Marilyn Seavey of Belleville, Ill., Patti Todd of Grover, Mo., Janet Schmidt of St. Louis, Mo., Marceline Hunt of Marshton, Mo.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Howard and Clarence Howard; and a nephew.
Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ed Dunivan Jr. will officiate.
Interment wll be at Missouri Veterans Home at Bloomfield.
