David Eugene Gragg Jr., 61, moved to his final resting place Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at his home, with friends and family surrounding him.

He was born Oct. 31, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Alydth Isabelle and David Eugene Gragg Sr.

David was an involved, hardworking husband, father and grandfather.

Growing up, David was an athlete and a Boy Scout. He was all-district and all-conference during his basketball career at Central High School. He met Tamara Anne Janet in college, and they married Nov. 25, 1972.

David and Tammy had three children, Lance Gragg (Sherri), Tracy Haggerty (Robert) and Sarah DeLuca (Peter Jr.).

He coached many of his children's athletic teams and was involved with their activities. He became a father-like figure to many of his children's friends.

David was a hardworking man and took on many positions in construction and management. He was a recipient of the Rotarian Exchange Program for young businessmen, obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cape. He was a friend to all and loved his family and friends. David would help anyone at any time.

Being blessed with seven grandchildren was one of David's biggest joys: Joshua Haggerty, Brittany Beveridge, Autumn Gragg, Zachary Haggerty, Sebastian Pope, Alexa DeLuca and Mia DeLuca.

David leaves behind many, many people who love him dearly. These survivors include his wife, three children and seven grandchildren. David also has two sisters and a brother, Rebecca Holland, Martha Boyd (Steve) and John Gragg (Sally). Other survivors are David's father and mother-in-law, Chip and Nancy Janet, as well as three brothers-in-law, Richard Janet (Susan), Robert Janet (Beth) and Chris Janet (Jill).

He was preceded in death by his father, David Eugene Gragg Sr., his mother, Alydth Isabelle Osborn Gragg, and many other family and friends who await him in eternal peace.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel with parish prayers at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of David to the Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration, Radnor Station Building 2 Suite 320, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087.
