David Gerald Emmons, 63, of Scott City died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Doniphan, Mo., son of William Robert Emmons and Mona Ester Nesbit. He and Lillian Helen Kielhofner were married Sept. 14, 1968, at Kelso, Mo.
Emmons was employed as a utility power plant maintenance journeyman at Southeast Missouri State University. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Emmons was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and the Knights of Columbus 6420 of Scott City.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Suzan Renee Moore of Cape Girardeau and Trisha Dawn LeGrand of Benton; a brother, James R. Emmons of Gower, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers are at 6:30 p.m., followed by Knights of Columbus prayers.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.
Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be performed by Missouri Honor Guard.
