JACKSON, Mo. -- Darwin F. Ruesler, 71, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at his home in Jackson.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 9-10 a.m.
Funeral service will be at 10, immediately following visitation. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Henrichs will officiate.
Mr. Ruesler was born Sept. 27, 1928, at Friedheim, Mo., son of Walter H. and Lillian E. Hobeck Ruesler. He and Geneva B. Seabaugh were married Dec. 23, 1954.
Loving survivors include his wife, Geneva of Jackson; his mother, Lillian Ruesler of Friedheim; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth F. and Patricia Ruesler of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Sue and Lenzel Jaco of Millersville, Mo.; two brothers, Clemen W. Ruesler of Waterloo, Ill., Marvin C. Ruesler of Friedheim; a sister, Nelda B. Sowell of Friedheim; five grandchildren; Gretchen Moore and husband, Randy, Corey Ruesler, Jesse Ruesler, Richard Jaco, Amy Jaco; two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Leigh Ann Moore.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Ruesler.
Mr. Ruesler was a veteran of the Korean War, serving from December 1951 through December 1953.
In 1989 he retired from IXL Handle Factory after 35 years of service. He has been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church since 1965. He was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Friedheim.
