PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Darriell "Tex" Lintner, 56, of Perryville died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Edwin J. and Katherine D. Hoehn Lintner. Lintner was a self-employed wood hauler. He was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and member of River Hills Eagles Lodge 4034...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Darriell "Tex" Lintner, 56, of Perryville died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Edwin J. and Katherine D. Hoehn Lintner.

Lintner was a self-employed wood hauler. He was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and member of River Hills Eagles Lodge 4034.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the 1st Cavalry Division-Airmobile. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Air Medal and Purple Heart.

Survivors include two stepsons, Jerry and Mark Lukefahr of Perryville; three brothers, Donald Lintner of Perryville, Harlan Lintner of St. Louis, Dale Lintner of Cadet, Mo.; and a stepgrandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Thursday after 6:30 a.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, with military graveside service.
