PORTAGEVILLE -- Darrell Gilbert Blattel, 57, of Portageville died Thursday, May 4, 1995, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti.

He was born Feb. 14, 1938, at Scott City, son of Gilbert and Ruby Will Blattel.

He was married on April 11, 1969, at Scott City. His wife, Faye Blattel, survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Ruby Eifert of Scott City; a son, Darrell Gilbert Blattel Jr., of Springs, Texas; two daughters, Tina Saalwaechter of Woodland Texas, and Rene Mayberry of Portageville; a brother, Charles Blattel of Scott City; two sisters, Gloria Arnold of Scott City, and Hope Elliott of Huntsville, Ark.; and four grandchildren.

Service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Delisle Funeral Home Chapel in Portageville. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.

Friends may call today at the funeral home after 5 p.m.
