Danny Joe Brock, son of the late Wade Spencer and Jackie Pattengill Brock, was born June 24, 1950, in Cape Girardeau and departed his life Saturday morning, April 20, 2024, at his home in Benton at the age of 73 years.

Danny was a self-employed farmer and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Ricky Lee Dirickson Jr. of Sikeston; three grandsons, Ricky Lane, Ryder Lee and Ranger Lee Dirickson; four sisters, Betty Weible of Crystal City, Kay (Ben) Burford of Sleepy Hallow, Illinois, Jacqueline (Robert) Govreau of Festus and Debbie Brock-Williams of Van Buren, Arkansas; many nieces and nephews; and also good friends, Derek, Christy and Jack Thompson.

Danny was preceded in death by one son, Levi Joseph Brock; brother, Tom Brock; and sister, Sally Hoffmeister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Colman officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley.

The family has requested memorials be made to the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center in Sikeston or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Envelopes will be provided for memorial donations at the funeral home.
