PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Daniel R. "Brown Boy" Zamora Sr., 62, of Perryville passed away Dec. 17, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born April 13, 1951, at El Paso, Texas, to Manuel and Delores Duran Zamora. He married Patti Tisher on Sept. 26, 1994, at Perryville; she survives.

Daniel served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was disabled and of the Catholic faith, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include his wife, Patti Zamora of Perryville; three sons, Roberto Zamora of Farmington, Mo., Matt Tisher of Jackson and Daniel Zamora of California; two daughters, Anna Zamora and Angelia Zamora and friend, Rodger Cawvey, of Farmington; three brothers, Ruben, Louie and Jesus Zamora, all of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Maria Lopez of Riverside and Juanita Johnson of Covina, Calif; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a son.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Military service will be provided at 5 p.m. by the American Legion Post 133. The burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to family choice.
