SIKESTON -- Daniel Kemp Byrd, 81, of Sikeston, died Saturday, March 4, 1995, at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, Fla.
He was born July 16, 1913, in Lamar County, Ala., son of Horace Early and Pearl Alma Kemp Byrd.
Byrd had farmed and was a former landowner and realtor. Prior to his death he was owner and operator of Sikeston Trade Winds Flea Market. He was a charter member of Miner Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Danny Byrd of Sikeston; two daughters, Dana Floyd of Springfield, Donna Bridgeforth of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Richard Byrd of Sikeston; a sister, Minnie Boone of Sikeston, and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Dr. Dale Merritt officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
