EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Daniel Eugene True of Topeka, Kan., will be held at 11 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. George White will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

True, 45, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995, in Topeka.

He was born Oct. 15, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Claude Eugene and Sally True.

True lived in Mississippi County most of his life, and was a member of First Baptist Church in East Prairie. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sally and Elmo Westmoland of East Prairie, and a sister, Barbara Singleton of Poplar Bluff.

He was preceded in death by his father.
