THEBES, Ill. -- Daniel Eugene Clubb, 87, of Thebes died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at his home. He was born Jan. 6, 1912, at Oran, son of Anthony L. and Mary Elizabeth West Clubb. He and Ruby Marie Dunn were married June 1, 1936, in Cairo. She died Jan. 13, 1996...

THEBES, Ill. -- Daniel Eugene Clubb, 87, of Thebes died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at his home.

He was born Jan. 6, 1912, at Oran, son of Anthony L. and Mary Elizabeth West Clubb. He and Ruby Marie Dunn were married June 1, 1936, in Cairo. She died Jan. 13, 1996.

Clubb was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of VFW Post 2210 in Ste. Genevieve. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Clubb of Thebes, Danny Clubb of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by nine brothers, three sisters, two great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Revs. Danny Clubb Jr. and Bob Norton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
