PERKINS, Mo. -- Dana Hope Irwin, 92, of Perkins passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at Jackson Manor.
She was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Creal Springs, Illinois, to the late Charles Oscar and Jessie Folsom Owdom Howard. Dana and William Haney Irwin were married Aug. 3, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1987.
She was a member of Perkins Baptist Church. Dana was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting, gardening and crafts. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Sharon (Alvin) Friedrich of Perkins, Ronnie Irwin of Germantown, Tennessee, Terry (Donna) Irwin of Gordonville and Vicki (John) Reick of Kansas City, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Charles, Jack, Ned, Bert and Billy Howard; four sisters, Bonnie Lennington, Ella Brewer, Maxine Watts and Virginia Osburn; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Irwin.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with pastor Brian Gill officiating. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Perkins Cemetery Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
