JACKSON -- Dallas Harold Glodo, 47, of Jackson, formerly of Grand Tower, Ill., died Monday, Nov. 11, 1991 at Jeffersonville, Ind.

He was born in Murphysboro, Ill, May 3, 1944, the son of Francis Glodo of Grand Tower, Ill. and the late Mildred Latchshaw Glodo.

He was a member of the Master Mates and Pilots Association and was a captain for the American Commercial Barge Lines.

He married the former Vonda Bowers on Nov. 28, 1987 in Jackson. She survives.

He is also survived by one son, Tony Glodo, Murphysboro; three daughters, Lori Glodo, Murphysboro, Brandy and Mandy Hoffman, both of Jackson; three brothers, Kenneth Robert Glodo, Pocatello, Idaho, Kenneth Glodo, Murphysboro, Richard Glodo, St. Louis; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Meredith Funeral Chapel in Grand Tower, with burial in Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower, Ill.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
