ANNA, Ill. -- Dallas Joe Alsip, 82, of Anna died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Union County Hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Johnson County, Ill., son of Marshall Oscar and Clara Gertrude Grimes Alsip. He and Myrtle K. DeHart were married July 3, 1965, in Alto Pass, Ill. She died Nov. 4, 1988...
ANNA, Ill. -- Dallas Joe Alsip, 82, of Anna died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Union County Hospital.
He was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Johnson County, Ill., son of Marshall Oscar and Clara Gertrude Grimes Alsip. He and Myrtle K. DeHart were married July 3, 1965, in Alto Pass, Ill. She died Nov. 4, 1988.
Alsip retired as groundskeeper at Choate Center. He attended Valley Mission Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Paula Hansil of Anna, Sue Hartline of Canton, Ill., Brenda Sutliff of Cobden, Ill.; two sons, Jerry Alsip of Anna, Terry Tucker of Dongola, Ill.; a brother, Robert Alsip of Anna; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl Land officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery.
