Dale Wayne Gunter, 30, of Troy, formerly of Cape Girardeau, Mo. died Thursday, August 20, 1998 in a one-car accident ten miles south of Louisiana, Mo. He was born April 4, 1968 in Fredericktown, Mo., the son of Stephen David and Dianna Marie Hargiss Gunter.

Gunter was the Coordinator of EMS at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Mo. Before holding this position, he had worked for the Cape County Private Ambulance Service and then the Madison Memorial Hospital in Fredericktown.

Gunter was a member of Calvary Temple in Fredericktown.

Survivors include his parents of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Deanna; a niece, Stephanie; a nephew, Matthew; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenwood Hargiss, Sr. of Leadington, Mo.; and paternal grandmother, Opal Myers of Park Hills, Mo. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon Myers.

Funeral services will be today, August 23, 1998 at 2:00 pm at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Petty officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
