SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Dale David Stevens of Scott City will be held at 10 a.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. David Bragg will officiate, with burial in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 8 a.m. until service time.
Stevens, 93, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 2, 1904, in Bollinger County, son of Zenis and Lillie Lincoln Stevens. He and Ruby Hanners were married June 30, 1939, at Jackson.
Stevens had farmed at Scopus. He moved to Scott City 35 years ago from Scopus. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jackie Stevens of McClure, Ill.; a daughter, Bobbie Choate of Scott City; a sister, Ruby Minton of Leesburg, Fla.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
