JACKSON -- Dale L. Crites, 45, of Jackson, died Friday, July 22, 1994, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Dec. 21, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, son of Alfred R. and Rettia Sebaugh Crites. He and Brenda Cook were married July 21, 1977.
Crites was a 1966 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He worked at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill from 1966-72, at United Shoe Machinery from 1972-78, and since then had been employed at Procter & Gamble.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ at Fruitland, American Legion at Jackson, and River City CB Club. He was a former member of Sargent's Chapel Lutheran Church, and had served on the church council there and at St. John's. He served in the 140th Infantry of the National Guard at Jackson from 1967-73.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tammy Crites of the home; his mother of Daisy; two brothers, Larry Crites, twin brother Gale Crites, both of Jackson, and a sister, Carolyn Ludwig of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today. An American Legion Honor Guard service will be held at 7:30.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Schaffner officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
