MILLERSVILLE -- Funeral service for Dale Cornell of Millersville Route 1 will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mccombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Ronnie Brown will officiate, with burial in Old Salem Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. today. An American Legion honor guard service will be held at 7:30.
Cornell, 70 years old, died Monday, Dec. 17, 1990, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1920, in Ackland, Ohio. He and the former Fredia Smith Welker were married Feb. 20, 1969.
Cornell retired from the military in 1963, having served in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Army. From 1971-85 he was an engineer with Wisconsin Barge Line. He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post in Jackson.
Survivors include a son, Paul Cornell of Millersville; two daughters, Virginia Welker of Millersville, and Opal Drum of Perryville.
