Funeral service for Daisy Mae Ravenstein Hobbs of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Earl Statler will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
Hobbs, 104, died Thursday, March 31, 1994, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
She was born May 21, 1889, in Oakland City, Ind., daughter of Charles and Rebecca Wood Stillwell. She and John Frederick Ravenstein were married April 15, 1907. He died Aug. 16, 1945. She and James Issach Hobbs were married April 23, 1964. He died April 1, 1967.
Hobbs was a seamstress at Rust and Martin, and had also worked at Campbell Mattress Co. She was a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, and Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Trickey of Carlyle, Ill., Daisy Burton of Rolla, Virginia Lovelace of Georgia; 22 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sons, a daughter, four brothers, four sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
