ADVANCE, Mo. -- Curtis Adam Esarey, 86, of Advance passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011, at his home.
He was born Nov. 28, 1924, at Liberty, Mo., son of Richard Dean and Anna Mae Barts Esarey.
Curtis had worked at Laclede Steel Mill in Alton, Ill.
Esarey was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Curtis and Geraldine Whyers were married May 25, 1963, in Wood River, Ill. She preceded him in death Dec. 29, 1999.
Surviving is a sister, Mary Cato of Puxico, Mo.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Deen Esarey; and two sisters, Edna Scowden and Stella Cosstephens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Cooper officiating.
Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery at Bernie, Mo.
