ANNA, Ill. -- Curtis E. Brown, 84, of Anna died Friday at the Union County Hospital. She was born Nov. 21, 1911, in Jackson County, Ill., daughter of the late William R. and Minnie E. Harner Land. She married Jess Casey, who died in 1936. She then married Otis Brown, who died in 1973...

ANNA, Ill. -- Curtis E. Brown, 84, of Anna died Friday at the Union County Hospital.

She was born Nov. 21, 1911, in Jackson County, Ill., daughter of the late William R. and Minnie E. Harner Land.

She married Jess Casey, who died in 1936. She then married Otis Brown, who died in 1973.

She is survived by a son, William H. Casey of Jonesboro, Ill.; two sisters: Fannie Rhodes of Wolf Lake, Ill., and Golda L. Jackson of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phil Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First American Home Health Service.
