BLOOMFIELD -- Curtis Dean Shipman, 59, of Flint, Mich., died Monday, Nov. 14, 1994, at Bloomfield Nursing Center.

He was born April 10, 1935, in Bloomfield, son of Curtis and Helen Crow Shipman. He and Joan Claire Gallager were married in 1959 in Michigan.

Shipman had lived in Flint the past 35 years. He was a retired forklift operator with General Motors, and was a member of Moose Lodge in Flint.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald Shipman of Flint, Barry Shipman of Lennon, Mich.; a daughter, Tammy McDonough of Oklahoma City, Okla.; his mother, Helen White of Bloomfield; a brother, Carroll Shipman of Corsicana, Texas, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Ernie Hill officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
