SIKESTON - Curtis Welborn, 77, of Sikeston, died Friday, April 29, at the Hunter Acres Caring Center, in Sikeston. SIKESTON - Curtis Welborn, 77, of Sikeston, died Friday, April 29, at the Hunter Acres Caring Center, in Sikeston.

He was born Sept. 19, 1916, at Double Springs, Ala., to William J. and Flora Curtis Welborn.

Survivors include two sons, David Welborn and Tony Welborn, both of the state of Georgia; two daughters, Lisa Welborn and Barbara Welborn, both of the state of Ohio.

Other survivors include one brother, Benjamin Welborn of Sikeston; two sisters, Murl Francis of Sikeston and Essie Johnson of Sumter, South Carolina. Four grandchildren also survive.

Welborn was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers, and three sisters.

Welborn was a retired farmer, and served in the U.S. Army.

Friends may call after 11 a.m., Monday, at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be held Monday, at 2 p.m., at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with Elder Charlie Francis officiating. Burial will be in the Dogwood Community Cemetery near East Prairie.
