CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Cora Crader Gosche, 91, of Chaffee, formerly of Oran, Mo., died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Painton, Mo., daughter of Joseph and Philomena Glastetter Brucker. She married Paul J. Crader on Jan. 29, 1938. He died Feb. 18, 1978. She then married Leon A. Gosche on Feb. 12, 1983. He died Jan. 3, 1993.
Cora retired after being the librarian in Oran 26 years. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, Knights of Columbus in Oran and KC-Ettes Council 4311. She received Oran Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year Award in 1976.
Survivors include two sons, Paul M. (Gail) Crader of Goshen, Ky., Joe (Linda) Crader of Oran; a daughter, JoNell (Tim) Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.; a stepson, L.C. Gosche of Jefferson City, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Joann Brucker of Chaffee; a brother, Eugene Brucker of Bell City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 13 great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Linda Mack; a sister; a brother; and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish rosary is at 7:30, followed by Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:45.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Revs. Ralph Duffner and Randy Tochtrop officiating.
Burial will be in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.
