Davis, 73, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Hunter Acres Caring Center.

He was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Alabama, son of Ruthford "R.S." and Alice Davis.

Davis was a retired farmer. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Davis of Niles, Mich., Ronnie Davis of Berrien Center, Mich.; two brothers, Otto Davis of Sikeston, Bill Davis of Kansas City; a sister, Christine Saulter of St. Charles; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
