Funeral service for Erma Colleen "Connie" Kitchen of Spring, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Daniel will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
Kitchen, 68, died Sunday, March 31, 1996, at her home.
She was born April 23, 1927, in McClure, daughter of Oliver and Pearl Beasley. She first married Charles Edwin "Elwood" Swan, who died June 21, 1973. She later married J.D. Kitchen, who died in August 1988.
Formerly of Cape Girardeau, she worked in the office of Southwestern Bell Telephone for 21 years. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Telephone Pioneers, and life member of Elks Lodge. She moved to Texas in 1986.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Ivester of Kemah, Texas; a sister, Vivian Gordon of Paris, Texas; three brothers, Gerald Beasley of Allen Park, Texas, Ralph Beasley of Ohio, Carrol Beasley of Alvin, Texas; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
