GORDONVILLE -- Colista Thoma, 82, of Gordonville, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1993, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
She was born Feb. 17, 1911, at Whitewater, daughter of Charles and Rosie Baker Hartmann. She and Carl Thoma were married Jan. 27, 1945. He died Dec. 22, 1988.
Thoma had worked at Mr. C's IGA in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1976. She was a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church, and member of its United Methodist Women and Adult Bible Class.
Survivors include two sons, Orville and Carlton Thoma of Jackson; a daughter, Carol Thoma of Festus; two brothers, Hadley and James Hartmann of Jackson; two sisters, Stella Cook of Whitewater, Gladys Wedekind of Oregon, Mo., and five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zion Church. The Rev. Tom Gross will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday.
