SIKESTON, Mo. -- Colin K. Hawkins, 58, of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Feb. 27, 1946, at Sikeston, son of Charles T. "Billy" and Florence J. House Hawkins. He and Patricia Ann Vinson were married Jan. 22, 1971...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Colin K. Hawkins, 58, of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 27, 1946, at Sikeston, son of Charles T. "Billy" and Florence J. House Hawkins. He and Patricia Ann Vinson were married Jan. 22, 1971.

Hawkins was a member of the Teamster's Local Union 674, St. Louis, and worked for Tucker Truck Lines and Jones Truck Lines of Sikeston, and Cassen Transport Co. of Fenton, Mo., retiring in 2003. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 3151 and the Sikeston Eagles Aerie 331. He was a 1964 graduate of Matthews High School and served six years in the U.S. Army Reserve 1140th Engineering Battalion.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Casey Marcum of East Prairie, Mo., and Katherine "Katie" Hawkins of Sikeston; one brother, Charles W. Hawkins of Matthews, Mo.; and one granddaughter.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church. The Rev. Stephen Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
