SIKESTON - Clyta I. Waggener, 94, of Sikeston, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1993, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born Aug. 12, 1898, in Commerce, daughter of Albert Clay and Anna Moore Ancell. She married William "Lynn" Waggener July 27, 1921 in Commerce. He died Dec. 19, 1986...

SIKESTON - Clyta I. Waggener, 94, of Sikeston, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1993, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born Aug. 12, 1898, in Commerce, daughter of Albert Clay and Anna Moore Ancell.

She married William "Lynn" Waggener July 27, 1921 in Commerce. He died Dec. 19, 1986.

Waggener was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, and a former member of the Sikeston chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a housewife, and for 33 years, the co-owner and operator of Wag's Sandwich and Book Shop in Sikeston.

Survivors include a son, Albert A. "Sonny" Waggener of Houston, Texas; a brother, Walter Ancell of Sikeston; a sister, Lillian Yowell of Jennings, Mo.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son and five brothers.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Memorial Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Charles E. Buck officiating.

Burial will follow in Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
