Clyde Marvin Russell, 66, of Scott City died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Heartland Care Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Tupelo, Miss., son of William and Johnnie Lou Ivey Russell. Russell owned Russell Construction. Clyde Marvin Russell, 66, of Scott City died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Heartland Care Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Tupelo, Miss., son of William and Johnnie Lou Ivey Russell.

Russell owned Russell Construction. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 3775 in Cape Girardeau, American Legion Post 369 in Benton, Mo., and Southeast Missouri Horseshoe Association.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Ziegler of Scott City; two brothers, Dennis Russell of Sikeston, Mo., Lee Russell of Parkin, Ark.; three sisters, Bernice Markley of Chandler, Texas, Peggy Johnson of Indianapolis, Ind., Ruby Caulk of Rochelle, Ill.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lightner Cemetery, with the Rev. John Nimmo officiating.
