CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Clyde Edward Maloney, 71, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 23, 1943, in Portageville, Missouri, to the late Paul Edward and Myrtle Lee Gremard Maloney. Clyde married Lois Gore on June 11, 1966.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee. He worked as a Diesel mechanic and was the shop manager at Tyson Foods in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Lois, of the home; two sons, Paul (Debra) Maloney of Yulee, Florida, and Brian (April) Maloney of Jackson; one daughter, Melissa (Bryan) Kinder of Chaffee; two grandchildren, Ethan and Mackenzie Maloney; two step-grandchildren, Dawn Distler and Danny Lavallee; two brothers, Paul Maloney of Nashville, Tennessee, and Louis "Tony" Maloney of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Barbara Johnson and Shirley Grant, both of Cape Girardeau; and an aunt, Louise Foulk of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Clay.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee with full military honors presented by the Missouri Honor Guard.
