Humphreys, 64, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, in Mesa.

He was born Sept. 3, 1936, at Zalma, son of Robert C. and Sadie Sylcox Humphreys.

Humphreys was an oil distributor many years. He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; four daughters, Tammy Porter of Springerville, Ariz., Cheryl Justice of Glendale, Ariz., Jennifer and Sarah Humphreys of Chandler, Ariz.; four brothers, George Humphreys of Lancaster, Calif., Charles Humphreys of St. Louis, Ivan Humphreys of Marble Hill, Mo., Larry Humphreys of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Velma Ward of Advance, Rosetta Lingle of Arnold, Mo., Jean Duniphan of Chaffee, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
