ADVANCE, Mo. -- Cloyd Lynn Neads, 60, of Advance passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 6, 1950, in Claysville, Pa., son of the late Cloyd K. and Elizabeth Polen Neads.
Cloyd was a safety director at Ohio Pacific Express in Benton, Mo. He had been in the trucking industry 37 years and was a former owner and operator. He was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Cloyd and Joyce Croney were married Aug. 21, 1975, in East Prairie, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Emily (Virgil) Barlow of Advance; a son, John Paul Neads-Turner of Portageville, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kallie Neads-Turner, William Neads-Turner, Ozzy Michael Barlow and Mercedes Lynn Barlow.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Donald, James and Joe.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Rev. Eric Shrum will officiate.
