JONESBORO, Ill. -- Clola Mae Brown, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Heartland Care Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 17, 1922, at Mill Creek, Ill., daughter of John M. and Virgie May Poole Rinehart. She and Melvin Brown were married Feb. 22, 1948, in White Castle, La. He died March 17, 1992.
Brown was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Melvin Brown of Anna, Ill.; a sister, Virginia Lilly of Oraville, Ill.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Hertenstein officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
