SIKESTON -- Clifton Eugene Roach, 73, of Sikeston, formerly of East Prairie, died Tuesday, April 15, 1997, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Mississippi County, son of John and Rosie Evans Roach. He had lived in Sikeston for the past seven years and had retired from the Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He married Coleen Roach on June 8, 1982, and she survives him.
He is also survived by one son, Clifton Roach of Bertrand; three brothers, Richard Roach of Matthews and James and Harley Roach, both of Sikeston; three sisters, Nadine Williams of East Prairie and Willie Blyzes and Mary Bishop, both of Pevely; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel with Bro. Richard Farquhar, pastor of the Freewill Baptist Church of East Prairie, officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
