ANNA, Ill. -- Clifton D. Barnhart, 63, of Anna died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, on arrival at Union County Hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Jonesboro, son of Cletus Henry and Selma Clyde Dillow Barnhart. He and Ruby Christina Henderson were married May 21, 1955, at Dongola. She died July 5, 1987...

ANNA, Ill. -- Clifton D. Barnhart, 63, of Anna died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, on arrival at Union County Hospital.

He was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Jonesboro, son of Cletus Henry and Selma Clyde Dillow Barnhart. He and Ruby Christina Henderson were married May 21, 1955, at Dongola. She died July 5, 1987.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Mathews and Connie Yates of Anna; two sons, Ronnie and Joe Barnhart of Anna; six brothers, Leroy Barnhart of Jonesboro, Wayne Barnhart of Louisville, Ky., Wardell Barnhart of Anna, Weldon Barnhart of Centralia, Doyle Barnhart of Chester, Carroll Barnhart of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three sisters, Wanda Goodman of Anna, Kathleen Messamore of Dongola, Shirley Keener of Dixon; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Barnhart officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
