PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Clifford J. Thomas, 92, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at his home.
He was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Friedheim to Rudolph J. and Cordia Ruesler Thomas. He and Erma Lohman were married Oct. 2, 1949. She preceded him in death Nov. 9, 2016.
Clifford was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a farmer of both agriculture and livestock. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed nothing more then fixing fence and growing crops. He loved dancing and playing cards with his wife, Erma.
Survivors include his daughters, Janet (Darrell) Hahs of Friedheim and Sandra (Torne) White of Nashville, Tennessee; sons, Roger (Patricia) Thomas of Friedheim and David Thomas of Oak Ridge; and grandchildren, Amanda Whitley, Lindsey Unterreiner, Ryan Thomas, Darren Hahs, Erin Roth, Kia Morrison, Brett Thomas and Caden White.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Elodie Tarkington; and a daughter-in-law, Holly Thomas.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation will continue from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedhiem.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, with the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Friedheim Trinity Church Remodeling Fund.
