CLIFFORD BRIGHT

EAST PRAIRIE -- Clifford R. Bright, 53, of East Prairie died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at his home, following an extended illness.

He was born Sept. 19, 1944, in Mississippi County, son of Richard and Emma Myers Bright. He and Carolyn S. Guinn were married Dec. 18, 1983.

Bright had lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a maintenance worker in the East Prairie R-2 School District. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Gina Maynard of East Prairie, Mindy Jones of Cabot, Ark., Tina Eaton of St. Louis; his father of East Prairie; a brother, Richard Bright of East Prairie; two sisters, Shirley Cull of St. Louis, Pam Wahl of Paducah, Ky.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Kenneth Woods officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
