ADVANCE -- Cletus Leadbetter, 62, of Advance died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 13, 1934, in Bollinger County, son of Paul and Myrtle Eaker Leadbetter. He and Mary Lee Robins were married June 5, 1959, at Advance.
Leadbetter was retired from the shoe pattern department of Missouri Industries at Dexter. He was a member and deacon at First General Baptist Church. Leadbetter was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kevin Leadbetter of Jackson, Stanley Leadbetter of Advance; four brothers, Kenneth Leadbetter of Festus, Arvin Leadbetter of Marble Hill, Wayne Leadbetter of Glen Allen, Larry Leadbetter of Advance; four sisters, Glenda Woodard of Glen Allen, Karen Abbott of Advance, Neda Chambliss of San Angelo, Texas, Melba Leadbetter of Marble Hill; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Michael Grant and Arvil Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
