SCOTT CITY -- Cletus Koehler, 85, of Scott City died Monday, June 2, 1997, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 11, 1911, at Jackson, son of Fred and Emma Knibert Koehler. He and Berniece Seyer Koehler were married Jan. 24, 1976. She died Feb. 25, 1992.
Koehler farmed in the Jackson and Dutchtown areas, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include three stepsons, Melbourne Koehler Jr. of Millersville, Ron Koehler of Cleveland, Miss., Steven Koehler of Scott City; three stepdaughters, Marilyn Weber of Cape Girardeau, Martha Pillar of Aurora, Ill., Margaret Meyer of Gordonville; 14 stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at St. Joseph Church from 4-8 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Bob Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home at Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
